Plant Bio

String of Bananas, or Curio radicans, formerly known as Senecio radicans, is a trailing succulent native to South Africa that bares banana shaped leaves. The translucent lines on the sides of the leaves are known as epidermal windows to increase the area available for light absorption. Being a succulent and native to Africa, the plant will thrive best in full sun, arid conditions and allowing the soil to dry out between waterings. The stems can reach out to a span of 2-3 feet long and can provide a nice textural element to your indoor garden.
