Bunny Cactus Care & Information

The Bunny Cactus or Bunny Ear Cactus, scientifically known as Opuntia microdasys 'Bunny Ears', is a charming cactus known for its flat, oval-shaped pads covered in tiny, velvety spines, that resemble a bunny’s ears. Thriving in bright light and occasional waterings, this cactus its ideal for those looking to add a new eye-catching plant to their collection.

NOTE: The pads, or "ears" of the Opuntia are delicate, so it’s not unusual for one to become dettached from the mother plant. Don't worry though—these pads can easily be propagated to grow into a new plant!

  • Each plant is unique; size and shape fluctuate by season so all measurements are shown as a range
  • Medium plants measure 5-8" tall from the soil line to the top of the foliage
  • Arrives in a nursery grow pot nestled in your planter choice
