Learn how to care for the Majesty Palm!
The Majesty Palm is a robust, tropical palm with graceful, feathery fronds that originates from Madagascar. This palm is typically found along river banks and likely got its name due to its majestic quality. Its leaves tend to grow from the trunk in an erect fashion before arching at the ends forming a large crown. While relatively new to the world of houseplants, with the right care, this palm is a great addition to the home.
Bright indirect light. Avoid direct sunlight to prevent leaf scorch.
Water 1-2 times per week allowing the top inch of soil to dry out between waterings, but never let the soil become completely dry.
Average home humidity.
Average home temperature of 65°F-75°F or warmer up to 85°F. If you’re comfortable, the Majesty Palm is comfortable.
A well cared for Majesty Palm can reach 15 - 20’ tall.
SYMPTOM: Leaf tips browning
CAUSE: Under watered
SYMPTOM: Webbing on undersides of leaves
CAUSE: Spider Mites. Wipe down top and bottom of leaves with soapy water and isolate from surrounding plants.
Not known to be toxic. Best practice is always to keep houseplants out of reach of small children and pets.
