We all know that quote from Romeo & Juliet that goes "A rose by any other name will still smell as sweet." Well, it's a similar situation with this plant — thought it has no smell, it does have quite a list of names: Ficus Elastica, Rubber Tree, Ficus Burgundy, Burgundy Rubber Tree, etc etc. (Is that an exact analogy? No, but you get the point.)
To keep it simple, we combined all the words: Presenting the Ficus Burgundy Rubber Plant. Despite potentially coming off as a diva (who do you think you are, Prince?!), this plant is actually very easy to care for: water it when fully dry, give it plenty of bright in-direct light, and you'll be rewarded with thick, glossy, deep red leaves on a fast-growing stem.
Fun Fact: The Rubber Tree produces a latex sap that was once used in rubber production. Cool! But on the flip side, that sap is toxic, so it's best to keep this plant out of reach of curious pets and small children.
Your plants will arrive in happy, healthy condition—guaranteed. If not, we replace them for free. Learn more about our guarantee.
