About The Pothos Marble Queen
Pothos plants are one of the most popular types of houseplants, and for good reason: they're fast-growing, hearty, and easy to care for. This variety is referred to as 'Marble Queen' thanks to the swirls of deep greens and white on the plant's signature heart-shaped leaves. Its quick-growing vines will make any space feel more lush; a great, low-maintenance choice for beginners.

Small
Approximately 5" in diameter, fits plants in a 4" grow pot or smaller
Medium
Approximately 7" in diameter, fits plants in a 6" grow pot or smaller
Large
Approximately 10-12" in diameter, fits plants in a 10" grow pot or smaller

Approximately 12-14" in diameter, fits plants in a 12" grow pot or smaller
Watering Requirements
Water every 1-2 weeks, allowing soil to dry out between waterings. Expect to water more often in brighter light and less often in lower light.
Sunlight Requirements
Thrives in bright indirect light, but can tolerate medium to low indirect light. Not suited for intense, direct sun.
Humidity Requirements
Normal room humidity will do, but Pothos will feel more at home under higher humidity conditions if possible, preferably between 40-60%. Consider incorporating a humidifier to boost humidity levels more consistently if the air in the home is dry.

Is Marble Queen the same as Golden Pothos?
The Marble Queen is a distinct cultivar of the same parent species as the Golden Pothos. While Golden Pothos features sparse yellow streaks, Marble Queen displays a heavily marbled tapestry of cream, white, and mint green across every leaf.
What lighting conditions keep the white marbling bright?
This plant requires consistent bright, indirect sunlight to preserve its beautiful contrast. Placing it near an east-facing window provides the ideal balance of strong ambient light without scorching the foliage.
Can a Marble Queen Pothos lose its variegated pattern?
Your plant will revert to solid green if it spends too much time in dark conditions. The vines naturally produce more green chlorophyll to survive when they do not receive enough ambient light.
Why are the white spots on my Marble Queen turning brown?
The white patches turn brown because those sections lack protective pigmentation and are highly sensitive to stress. This specific browning could indicate inconsistent watering, sudden drops in household humidity or temperature, or stress from tap water minerals or too much sunlight.
