About The Philodendron White Knight
A true gem for collectors and foliage lovers alike, the Philodendron 'White Knight' features broad green leaves variegated in white and cream, paired with striking burgundy stems. This climbing variety thrives with a support pole and prefers bright, indirect light, warmth, and moderate humidity. Though slower-growing, its bold look and rarity make it well worth the wait!
NOTE: Variegation may naturally vary from plant to plant, with some showing more white or green than others. However, with bright light and consistent care, the variegation often becomes more pronounced in new growth over time!

Watering Requirements
Water every 1-2 weeks, allowing soil to dry out between waterings. Expect to water more often in brighter light and less often in lower light.
Sunlight Requirements
Thrives in medium to bright indirect light to some morning direct sun.
Humidity Requirements
Normal room humidity can work, but Philodendron can benefit from higher humidity conditions. Consider incorporating a humidifier to boost humidity levels more consistently if the air in the home is dry.

What is the difference between a "vining" and a "self-heading" Philodendron?
Vining varieties grow along long, flexible stems that love to trail down from shelves or scale up a pole or trellis. Self-heading (upright) varieties do not vine; instead, they grow leaves from a tight, central basal cluster, resulting in a bushy, self-supporting plant that develops offshoots at the base.
Why are the leaves on my Philodendron turning yellow?
Yellowing leaves can be caused by overwatering if the soil is soggy, underwatering if the soil is bone-dry, or placing your plant too far from a window where it lacks light. Simply adjust your care by giving bone-dry soil a deep soak, letting soggy soil dry out completely, or moving the plant closer to a bright, indirect light source. If it is just a single older leaf dropping from the very base of the stem every now and then, it is just a natural part of the plant’s aging process!
Why are my Philodendron's new leaves getting stuck or tearing as they unfurl?
When a new leaf struggles to unfurl or emerges distorted or with ripped edges, it is almost always a sign of humidity being too low. The protective sheath around the emerging leaves need moisture to stay lubricated and slippery. You can try running a humidifier near the plant or using a moist, soft paintbrush on the new leaf that to help dislodge it from the sheath.
