About The Boobie Cactus

Add some curves to your windowsill with the Myrtillocactus geometrizans 'Fukurokuryuzinboku', known more commonly as the "Boobie Cactus" — a playful nod to the curvy, eye-catching humps up and down its trunk that look like, you guessed it, boobies! With its plump, cascading lobes, this perky succulent is an immediate conversation starter, and the perfect addition to any rare plant collection. Low-maintenance and drought-tolerant, it's perfect for both beginners and seasoned plant enthusiasts.

Note: Our cacti aren’t cuttings—they’re fully rooted plants! This means they’re already established and ready to thrive in their new home. Succulents naturally have shallow roots, so don’t be surprised if that’s what you see, it’s a completely natural trait!

  • Each plant is unique; size and shape fluctuate by season so all measurements are shown as a range
  • Medium plant measures 8-12 inches tall from bottom of the grow pot to the top of the foliage
  • Arrives in a nursery grow pot nestled in your planter choice

Watering Requirements
Water every 1-2 weeks, allowing soil to thoroughly dry out between waterings. Expect to water more often in brighter light and less often in lower light.
Sunlight Requirements
Thrives in bright direct light, but can tolerate bright indirect light. During the summer months, be cautious of hot windowsills which can scorch the stem.
Humidity Requirements
Cacti prefer low humidity levels, so it's best to keep them in a dry environment. Avoid placing them in a bathroom or other area with high humidity, as this can cause fungal diseases to develop or the soil to remain moist for too long.

Why is the Boobie Cactus so rare?
The Boobie Cactus grows quite slowly and is highly sought after for its novelty shape. Because it is a specific genetic cultivar mutation, it cannot be reliably grown from seed. Propagation requires taking stem cuttings or removing pups from a mature mother plant, which takes considerable time!

What kind of soil and pot does a Boobie Cactus require?
The Boobie Cactus requires a fast-draining succulent and cactus potting mix or you can DIY your own gritty mixture. Terracotta or unglazed ceramic pots are recommended because they allow excess moisture to evaporate through the container walls, though plastic or ceramic can still work. Always plant it in a pot with drainage holes.
