- Thrives in bright direct light, but can tolerate bright indirect light.
- Water every 1-2 weeks in direct light, allowing soil to dry out between waterings. Expect to water more often in brighter light and less often in lower light.
- This is a pet friendly plant.
- The Moon Cactus is actually two cacti in one! The bright, colorful top (Gymnocalycium mihanovichii) is grafted onto a green base cactus because it doesn’t have chlorophyll and can’t make its own food. By attaching it to a green cactus, which can photosynthesize, the top gets the support it needs to survive and thrive.
