About The Lipstick Plant
The Lipstick Plant is a tropical trailing beauty named for its vibrant blooms that peek out like a tube of lipstick. Thriving in bright indirect light and humid conditions, it's the perfect pick for sunny shelves or hanging planters. It's loved for both its unique look and easygoing care—a fun, unexpected way to add color and texture to your indoor jungle.
NOTE: This plant typically blooms from spring through fall. Blooms are seasonal, so your plant may or may not arrive with flowers depending on the time of year.

Watering Requirements
Water every 1-2 weeks, allowing soil to dry out half way down between waterings. Expect to water more often in brighter light and less often in lower light.
Sunlight Requirements
Thrives in medium to bright indirect light. Not suited for low light areas or direct sun unless coming from the morning hours.
Humidity Requirements
Normal room humidity can work, but Aeschynanthus can benefit from higher humidity conditions. Consider incorporating a humidifier to boost humidity levels more consistently if the air in the home is dry.

Why is my Lipstick Plant not blooming?
The primary reason a Lipstick Plant refuses to bloom is a lack of bright, indirect sunlight. While they can survive in low light, they require strong, bright light to gather enough energy to push out flowers. Another major factor is low temperatures and humidity. Move your plant closer to a bright window, protect it from cold drafts, and place it near a humidifier to encourage blooming.
How often do you water a Lipstick Plant?
Water when when the top half of the potting soil feels completely dry. Because its thick, fleshy leaves store water, it is highly tolerant of occasional dry spells but incredibly intolerant of wet feet. During the active growing season, this generally means watering once every 7-10 days. Reduce this frequency in the winter when the plant's growth slows down.
