Large Lady Palm Information
About The Large Lady Palm
The Lady Palm is a refined, slow-growing houseplant known for its elegant fan-shaped fronds and upright form. Native to subtropical Asia, it’s a natural air purifier and thrives in bright indirect light—making it a low-maintenance pick for homes and offices alike. Its clustered stems and lush foliage add height and softness to any corner.
NOTE: This species has a natural, reed-like trunk with a fibrous texture—so it’s normal to see a fuzzy appearance on the stems and occasionally on new leaves as they unfurl. Avoid scraping these fibers off as they are a normal part of the plant’s structure.
- Each plant is unique; size and shape fluctuate by season so all measurements are shown as a range
- Large plant measures between 3-4 feet tall from bottom of the grow pot to the top of the foliage
- Large plants benefit from brighter light to help retain their mature foliage
- Large plants require less frequent waterings due to their higher volume of soil
- If you purchase a large plant with a planter, the planter will ship separately

Watering Requirements
Water every 1-2 weeks allowing soil to dry out halfway between waterings. Expect to water more often in brighter light and less often in lower light.
Sunlight Requirements
Thrives in medium to bright indirect light. Not suited for low light conditions.
Humidity Requirements
Palms prefer higher humidity if possible, preferably above 40%. Consider incorporating a humidifier to boost humidity levels more consistently if the air in the home is dry.

Yes, this plant is safe for homes with pets.
Why are the tips of my Lady Palm turning black?
Black or very dark brown leaf tips are usually caused by overwatering or a toxic buildup of fertilizer salts. Lady Palms prefer their soil to dry out halfway down the pot before receiving another drink, and they require very minimal feeding.
Why is my Lady Palm growing so incredibly slow?
The Lady Palm is inherently a slow-growing plant, only producing a few new fronds a year, so patience is key! Do not try to speed up growth with excess fertilizer, as this will burn the roots and leaf tips.
