About The Areca Purifying Palm

The Areca Palm is adored for its elegant, feathery fronds and lush, vibrant green foliage. Frequently Asked Questions
Why are the tips of my Areca Palm turning brown and crispy?
Crispy brown leaf margins or tips are most likely caused by underwatering or low humidity. If the air around the plant is dry, run a dedicated humidifier nearby, and ensure you water as soon as the soil dries out, providing a thorough soak to evenly saturate the potting mix.

Why is my Areca Palm turning yellow?
Yellowing leaves on a Calathea Network are most frequently caused by overwatering, not enough sunlight, or possibly a nutrient deficiency. If the lower leaves are turning yellow and the stems feel soft or mushy at the base, the soil is holding too much water either due to watering too frequently, poor drainage in the soil, or the plant not receiving enough light.

How do you get rid of spider mites on an Areca Palm?
Look for fine webbing on the undersides of leaves. Wipe them out by giving the palm a thorough shower to physically blast off the spider mites, then treat the foliage weekly with insecticidal soap or neem oil.
