Why is my Fiddle Leaf Fig dropping leaves?
Leaf drop is usually triggered by environmental shock, lack of light, inconsistent waterings, or drafts. Fiddle Leaf Figs hate change! If you recently moved the plant to a new room, brought it home from the nursery, or placed it near a drafty window or heating vent, it may shed healthy green leaves. If the dropped leaves have dark brown centers, it is dropping them due to inconsistent waterings.

How do you make a Fiddle Leaf Fig branch?
To force a single-stemmed Fiddle Leaf Fig to branch out and form a tree-like canopy, you can simply cut the top off the plant by making a clean cut at an internode (space between two leaves). Cutting off the top growing tip (the terminal bud) during the spring growth season breaks the plant’s apical dominance. This signals the trunk to push out two to three new branches right below the cut!
