About The Braided Benjamina Ficus
The Braided Benjamina Ficus brings elegance and structure all in one perfect package. Its slender, glossy leaves cascade down like a green waterfall, while the braided trunk adds a sculptural twist that elevates any indoor space. Thriving with minimal fuss, this easy to care for tree just needs bright light and the occasional watering.
NOTE: It's very common for new indoor trees to drop leaves, but don’t panic—it’s just acclimating to its new home. With a little patience, consistent care, and plenty of bright light, it’ll bounce back lush as ever!

Watering Requirements
Water every 1-2 weeks, allowing soil to dry out between waterings. Expect to water more often in brighter light and less often in lower light.
Sunlight Requirements
Thrives in bright indirect light. Can benefit from a few hours of direct sun. Not suited for low light conditions.
Humidity Requirements
Normal room humidity will do, but Ficus can benefit from higher humidity conditions. Consider incorporating a humidifier to boost humidity levels more consistently if the air in the home is dry.

Why is my Ficus dropping leaves?
If the leaves drop while turning yellow with soft brown patches, the plant may be overwatered. On the other hand, if the leaves look droopy, feel crispy on the edges, the plant may be underwatered if the soil has completely dried out. Sudden exposure to hot air vents or freezing cold drafts from windows can also cause sudden leaf loss.
How often should I water my Ficus?
There is no strict calendar schedule for watering Ficus as environmental variables like humidity and light change their needs. Check the moisture of the soil and water once the soil has dried out, but avoid letting it remain dried out for too long. Be sure to evenly and thoroughly soak the soil upon each watering.
Can a Ficus live outdoors?
Ficus are tropical plants that can live outdoors in containers during the spring and summer months, but must be brought inside before temperatures drop. They will thrive outside in partial shade once nighttime temperatures consistently stay above 60°F.
Why are the leaves on my Ficus turning yellow?
Yellowing leaves are most commonly caused by overwatering, underwatering, or a lack of sunlight. If the lower leaves are yellow and the soil is soggy, the plant is likely overwatered due to frequent watering or poor drainage. Conversely, if the soil is bone-dry, the plant is likely underwatered. Finally, if the plant is situated far from a bright window, it simply may not be receiving enough light..
