Watering Requirements
Water every 1-2 weeks, allowing soil to dry out half way down between waterings. Expect to water more often in brighter light and less often in lower light.

Thrives in bright indirect light.
Humidity Requirements
Coffee plants prefer high humidity, so it's important to keep them in a room with a humidifier or group them together with other plants to form a microclimate. Dry air can cause the leaves to become dry and crispy. Not sure if humidity is high enough? You can measure the level of humidity with a hygrometer.

Can you actually harvest coffee beans from a Coffee Plant?
A coffee plant must reach maturity, typically 3 to 5 years of age, before it will flower. It produces star-shaped white blossoms that smell faintly of sweet jasmine, and once hand-pollinated, small green berries form that ripen into deep red "coffee cherries." Each cherry contains two seeds, which are the actual coffee beans you roast! It is often rare to yield enough beans though to produce even a single cup of coffee.
How much sunlight does an indoor coffee tree need?
Coffee plants thrive in abundant, bright, indirect sunlight. In nature, they grow as understory plants shielded beneath the forest canopy, meaning they crave light but cannot tolerate intense, afternoon sun. An east- or west-facing window is perfect. If placed in a south-facing window, use a sheer curtain to filter the intense afternoon sun beams.
How often should you water a Coffee Plant?
Keep the soil consistently moist but never waterlogged. Water your coffee plant thoroughly as soon as the top half of the soil dries out. Ensure the water flows freely out of the bottom drainage holes, and empty the saucer after 5-10 minutes.
Why are the leaves on my Coffee Plant turning brown and crispy?
Crispy brown edges or tips on a coffee plant are almost always a sign of low humidity or underwatering. These are native rainforest trees that prefer humidity levels around 40-50% and use a lot of water when actively growing.
