Fun Fact
The Moon Cactus is actually two cacti in one! The bright, colorful top (Gymnocalycium mihanovichii) is grafted onto a green base cactus because it doesn’t have chlorophyll and can’t make its own food. By attaching it to a green cactus, which can photosynthesize, the top gets the support it needs to survive and thrive.
