Take a look behind the scenes of opening Sill store #5.
On Friday, January 17th, the doors to the fifth Sill shop opened in Cobble Hill, Brooklyn. We've been rooted in NYC since opening our Lower East Side shop in 2012, but we are so excited to now be a part of the Brooklyn plant community.

The Sill team met first-time plant parents, plant veterans, families and even pups. Members of The Sill's HQ team, NYC shops team and the brand new Brooklyn team came together to celebrate. Our CEO and Founder Eliza Blank also attended and helped out with plant shoppers.

Our friend Lauren Clark (the brains behind @lc_designsnyc) provided two incredible charcuterie boards stocked with cheeses, nuts and more that everyone absolutely loved (and devoured), and Boxed Water supplied the drinks. Our friends at Tattly gave attendees temporary plant tattoos (including Monsteras, Pileas and more) created by professional artists. Earlier that morning, Stumptown and Monty's provided breakfast for an exclusive influencer preview and helped keep the BK team energized throughout the day.

During the party, we shared new, local offerings including special in-store plants and exclusive planters made by local artisans. Recreation Center, a line by Josephine Noel, brings together bright colors and geometric shapes. Our second partner, Franca, combines minimalism with a modern touch, especially with their double sided planter.
