About The Stromanthe Triostar
The elegant, elongated leaves of the Stromanthe Triostar are green, pink, and cream on top and magenta underneath. Help its variegation stay vibrant by placing it in a spot that receives bright indirect light. The Stromanthe is part of the same family as prayer plants (Marantaceae) and will similarly appreciate high humidity from a pebble tray or humidifier.

Watering Requirements
Water every 1-2 weeks, allowing soil to dry out half way down between waterings. Expect to water more often in brighter light and less often in lower light. This plant can benefit from extra humidity. Calatheas can be sensitive to hard tap water. Try using filtered water or leaving water out overnight before using.
Sunlight Requirements
Thrives in medium to bright indirect light. Can tolerate low light conditions. Not suited for direct sun.
Humidity Requirements
Stromanthe prefer higher humidity if possible, preferably above 40%. Consider incorporating a humidifier to boost humidity levels more consistently if the air in the home is dry.

Why are the edges of my Stromanthe leaves turning brown and crispy?
Brown, crispy edges or curling leaves on a Stromanthe are almost always caused by dehydration, low humidity or tap water sensitivity.
How often should you water a Stromanthe?
Water your Stromanthe when the top half of soil has dried out, which typically averages to once a week depending on your home's environment. Allowing the plant to sit in stagnant water triggers root rot, while letting the soil completely dry out will cause the foliage to droop and brown.
Why are my Stromanthe leaves curling inward?
Leaf curling is a defense mechanism indicating that your Stromanthe is experiencing underwatering, too much sunlight, or an unfavorable draft. Check the moisture of the soil, the windows exposure, or keep a lookout for any drafts from AC vents, heaters, or drafty windows!
What are the light requirements for a Stromanthe?
The Stromanthe thrives in medium to bright, indirect sunlight. While it can tolerate lower light conditions, a dark corner may cause its spots to fade and drastically slow its growth.
