This low-maintenance trailing plant is perfect for hanging displays or can be trained to climb vertically, bringing silvery-splashed foliage wherever you need it most.

Frequently Asked Questions
Why is my Philodendron getting leggy with small leaves?
Legginess usually happens overtime due to a lack of sufficient sunlight. In low light conditions, the vines tend to stretch out more, increasing the space between leaves to search for the sun. Consider moving the plant closer to a bright, unobstructed window or place a grow light overhead if natural lighting isn't enough. The only way to correct the leggy stems is to prune the stems back to the nearest leaf where you want it to continue growing.

How do I make my vining Philodendron grow thicker and bushier?
The secret to a full, bushy look is regular pruning! Trim the tips of long, trailing vines right below a leaf node (where a leaf is attached to the stem). This removes the apical dominance and forces the plant to push out brand-new buds where you make the cut.

What is the difference between a "vining" and a "self-heading" Philodendron?
Vining (climbing) varieties grow along long, flexible stems that love to trail down from shelves or scale up a pole or trellis. Self-heading (upright) varieties do not vine; instead, they grow leaves from a tight, central basal cluster, resulting in a bushy, self-supporting plant that develops offshoots at the base.

How do you propagate vining Philodendron?
You can easily propagate vining Philodendron via stem cuttings. Prune a piece of vine just below a node, ensuring the cutting has at least 2–3 leaves and 1–2 exposed root nodes. Place the cutting directly in water or moist sphagnum moss for several weeks, and once the roots are 2-3 inches long you can transfer them back into soil.
