About The Fairy Castle Cactus
The Fairy Castle Cactus gets its charming name due to its stalks resembling the architecture of a castle. Like most cacti, this evergreen Cereus cactus is drought-tolerant and loves a sunny window sill. Under optimal conditions over the years this plant can eventually reach between 5-6 feet tall!
Note: Our cacti aren’t cuttings—they’re fully rooted plants! This means they’re already established and ready to thrive in their new home. Succulents naturally have shallow roots, so don’t be surprised if that’s what you see, it’s a completely natural trait!

Approximately 5" in diameter, fits plants in a 4" grow pot or smaller

Watering Requirements
Water every 2-3 weeks, allowing soil to dry out between waterings. Expect to water more often in brighter light and less often in lower light.
Sunlight Requirements
Thrives in bright direct light, but can tolerate bright indirect light.
Humidity Requirements
Cacti prefer low humidity levels, so it's best to keep them in a dry environment. Avoid placing them in a bathroom or other area with high humidity, as this can cause fungal diseases to develop or the soil to remain moist for too long.

Why does the Fairy Castle Cactus look like a castle?
The plant's miniature fortress appearance is caused by a unique growth mutation known as monstrose form. Instead of growing into one single, straight column like its wild ancestors, this cultivar continuously splits and pushes out hundreds of tiny, vertical offsets (branches) all along its ribs!
Why is the base of my Fairy Castle Cactus turning brown and woody?
This is completely normal and healthy! It is a biological process in cacti called corking. As the cactus grows larger and heavier, the base turns into a woody, bark-like structure to support the top-heavy weight.
Why is my Fairy Castle Cactus turning yellow and stretching out?
Your plant is most likely suffering from etiolation caused by low light conditions. Move the cactus to your absolute brightest window, ideally a south-facing sill that gets 6-8 hours of direct sunlight daily.
