Begonias, like Begonia rex are found through the world’s tropics - including Brazil, The Congo, and China. They have gained popularity for their brightly colored and intricately patterned asymmetrical leaves. Some cultivars have even been bred for certain colors, patterns, or metallic sheens.
Although Begonias can flower given the right indoor conditions, their flowers are unspectacular in comparison to their eye-catching foliage - which, in addition to their ease of growth, have made Begonias a popular houseplant.
Can handle it all-from direct sunlight to low light. Prefers indirect light.
Water at least once a week. Let the top of soil go completely dry in-between waterings. Although the smaller the pot, the faster the soil dries out.
If you can increase the humidity around begonias, they will quietly love you.
