These hardy succulents can tolerate everything from your fridgid offices to sunny windows. Some people know Echeveria by the name 'hens and chicks', but people also call a lot of succulents that. The genus is named after Atanasio Echeverria y Godoy, an 18th-century Mexican botanical artist aned naturalist. His drawings would have killed on Instagram.
The Plant Care
Bright light. Tolerates medium light in winter. Not suited for intense, direct sunlight.
Water every one to two weeks, depending on season. Spring to summer, allow mix to dry out almost completely before watering thoroughly. Fall to winter, Succulents can go up to a month between drenching.
Don't over love your Echevaria aka the easiest way to kill your succulent is by overwatering. Avoid watering in the center of the plant.
