Wreaths

There are a few different things you can do to keep your fresh wreath living long and healthy. They include:

• Soaking your wreath when you first buy it.
• Misting your wreath regularly.
• Keep your wreath in a shady place.
• Hang your wreath where it will be kept cool.

Wreaths can symbolize many things depending on the maker or user’s personal beliefs. Historically, wreaths were used to crown Ancient Roman soldiers who went to battle, and honored Roman soldiers who did not return. During Ancient Greek times, artists such as painters and poets donned wreaths to celebrate their high positions in society. Wreaths were also gifted to Greek Olympians for their accomplishments.

In Nordic and Germanic cultures, wreaths are used both as headdresses and table decor. Candles and ribbons are added to the wreaths to celebrate the coming of spring. These cultures, along with Pagans, use wreaths to symbolize the renewal of the seasons from winter into warmth and rebirth.

In contemporary Christianity, on the other hand, wreaths are often used to symbolize the unending presence of God that is circular with no start and no end.
